My 6
Point Plan for Butler County
-
Streamline and eliminate unnecessary elected offices and
administrative staff - We could save significant tax dollars
and bring transparency by eliminating elected positions and
appointing professionals with a charter form of county government.
-
Focus on equity among all our cities and townships -
Electing a 12 person County Council will spread the political power to all regions
of the county. All citizens will have a representative at the table
when local decisions are made and state and federal funding is
disbursed.
-
Facilitate collaborative leadership within the public and
private sectors - I want to form a task force of representatives
from Butler County businesses in order to create a more
business-friendly environment within local government policy.
-
Establish long-term regional competitiveness for attracting
employers - With
input from the aforementioned task force we can encourage new
business growth and investment, helping to create more, higher
paying jobs in Butler County.
-
Demand focused, effective and accountable leadership
- Department heads should be required to
submit line item detailed explanations for their budgets and
justify the spending by comparing it with similar departments in
other Ohio counties.
-
Make job creation and job retention a fundamental government
purpose - All government employees
throughout the County should be educated and trained on the
importance of private enterprise in every community.
